OPEN ROAD RIDING

When speed is doubled, stopping distance is increased 4x. Hence, sufficient and safe distance is necessary when riding in an open road.

In an open road, the rider must be more cautious when riding at higher speeds. If the speed is doubled, stopping distance is increased 4x [stopping distance = starts from braking reaction up to the stopping point]. Therefore, riders have to maintain sufficient distance from the vehicle in front.

Another factor that must be considered is the headwind or crosswind. As speed increases, so does wind and fatigue. Jerky operation of the motorcycle must be avoided so as not to lose balance.
=========================
Sufficient distance with the vehicle in front.

In open roads, keep sufficient distance from vehicle in front as stopping is obviously longer. The stopping distance covers reaction distance [the length traveled by the vehicle from the time danger is identified up to the time the corresponding action is carried out] and braking distance [the length traveled from the time the vehicle reacted up to the time it has come to a full stop].
=========================
When affected by the wind, it is important to stay calm while slowly recovering control of the motorcycle.

When approaching areas with strong winds or crosswinds such as entrances and exits of tunnels, bridges and excavation sites, and when passing a large vehicle - speed must be reduced beforehand.

If you are affected by the wind, it is important to stay calm while recovering motorcycle position slowly.

As speed increases, so does fatigue. When riding on regular roads, take a rest by stopping every two hours. When riding in an open road, stop more frequently.
